LOT Polish Airlines celebrates Poland’s Independence day with the Polish Embassy in New Delhi

105 years ago, on 11 November 1918, Poland regained its independency and the 11 November today is the country’s national holiday. On this occasion, the Polish Embassy in New Delhi brought some Polish flavour to the national capital earlier this week and held a festive gala event for 400 guests including officials from Indian ministries, the diplomatic community, the Polish expats community and key business partners in India. Star Alliance member LOT Polish Airlines, with roots dating back to 1929, was proud to be associated with this event. For Poland’s National Independence Day, the Polish flag carrier flew in renowned chefs from Poland, who enriched the Embassy’s gala with some outstanding culinary creations, showcasing how tasteful a crossover of Polish and Indian delicacies can be.

LOT Polish Airline to Fly from its Global Hub at Warsaw Chopin Airport to Rome Fiumicino

LOT Polish Airlines will add Rome Fiumicino to its global route network from Warsaw Chopin Airport from 30 October 2023. India-originating passengers can fly with LOT Polish Airlines from Delhi and Mumbai to Warsaw and then, after a short stopover, conveniently continue to their onward destination in the Eternal City of Rome. The new daily flights connect Warsaw Chopin Airport with Rome Fiumicino (FCO). Passengers from Mumbai (Sundays and Wednesdays) and Delhi (Fridays) can for example seamlessly connect in Warsaw On the other days of the week, LOT Polish Airlines departs Warsaw at 7:15h in the morning, arriving in Rome at 9:25h local time, hence ideal for those guests with a stopover in Poland. All flights are operated with modern, fuel-efficient Boeing 737MAX8 aircraft. LOT Boeing 737MAX8 aircrafts include 186 seats in a two-cabin configuration (LOT Business Class and LOT Economy Class) including complimentary on-board service in Economy Class. The Boeing 737MAX8 cabin features the Boeing Sky Interior concept with ergonomically designed seats, eye-friendly lighting, and spacious luggage compartments. Michał Fijoł onboards as President of Management Board of LOT Polish Airlines

After qualification procedure conducted by Supervisory Board of the Company, Michał Fijoł  was appointed as President of Management Board of LOT Polish Airlines. The new President had been a Member of the Management Board for Commercial Affairs since 7 years Fijol thanked Supervisory Board for trusting him with this position. He said, “I do believe that my experience and cooperation with professional and passionate team of LOT Polish Airlines will bring nothing but good results and strengthen the position of the National Carrier not only on the Polish market but also on foreign markets of crucial importance to us.” Michał Fijoł has been associated with LOT Polish Airlines since January 2016 – first as the Management Board Representative for Commercial Affairs, and back in March 2017 he took the position of Member of the Management Board for Commercial Affairs.

LOT Polish Airlines to launch direct flights between Warsaw and Delhi in September

Poland flag carrier LOT Polish Airlines will launch a new non-stop service between Warsaw and New Delhi, commencing on September 17, 2019. Like all LOT long-haul flights, the new route will be operated by state-of-the-art Boeing 787 Dreamliner five times per week. The announcement was made by LOT Polish Airlines during the Global Aviation Summit in Mumbai. The new route launch will provide the shortest and most convenient connection from New Delhi directly to the centrally located hub in Warsaw as well as access to many central, eastern and western European cities. The first flight will commence on September 17 from Warsaw Chopin Airport to New Delhi’s Terminal 3 (with the return flight taking off from New Delhi on September 18). Rafał Milczarski, CEO, LOT, says, “The long-awaited flight between Poland and India is becoming a fact. I am pleased to announce that this magnificent destination is being added to LOT’s growing network today. This is a great moment in our 90-year history and evidence of our dynamic development. Poland, located in the very heart of Europe will be a gateway for Indian passengers, enabling access to various destinations across Europe. Over 8.9 million passengers travelled between India and Europe in 2017.
