Tourism Minister G. Kishan Reddy said that the centre provides 100% finance to the state to implement the tourism-related schemes. And, more than Rs 4000 crore is being spent to develop infrastructure for adventure tourism in border villages. 

G Kishan Reddy, Minister of tourism highlighted that under Hon. PM’s leadership the whole of government is focussed on addressing the issues faced by investors and urged them to consider greater investments in tourism and hospitality sector. 

Union Minister For Culture, Tourism and Development Of Northeastern Region (DoNER) said, “A two-day brainstorming meeting is scheduled to take place in February or March before the Global Travel and Tourism Summit (GTIS), during which the Ministry and state governments will discuss the necessary steps to enhance tourism in India.” 

G Kishan Reddy, the Union Minister of Culture, Tourism, and DoNER, announced that the Department of Tourism will provide financial assistance to enhance port infrastructure and stimulate the growth of cruise tourism in India. 

Sharing that MICE sector will be a key focus in the days to come for the MOT, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister- Tourism, Culture & DoNER, said, “India will also hold an investors’ conclave in 2023 to promote global investments and MICE tourism.”

Making India one of the top five global destinations by 2030 is the primary goal envisaged in the National Tourism Policy, which was finalised with certain additions considering long-term implications of the ongoing pandemic, by the Ministry of Tourism, revealed union minister while addressing an event in New Delhi.

India has been elected to the Inter-governmental Committee of UNESCO’s 2003 Convention for safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) for four years, tweeted Union Minister for Culture, Tourism and Development Of North Eastern Region G. Kishan Reddy 

Union Minister for Tourism, Culture and DONER G. Kishan Reddy inaugurated the Conference of Amrit Samagam. During the inaugural day of the 2 days’ Amrit Samagam Conference,  G. Kishan Reddy also launched the Utsav Portal. The Utsav Portal website, a digital initiative launched with the aim to showcase all the events, festivals and live darshans across India to promote different regions of the country as popular tourist destinations worldwide. 

G. Kishan Reddy, the Union Culture Minister, will launch the summit. It will focus on best practises and strategies to develop India’s museums. The Global Summit will bring together prominent figures, domain experts, and practitioners from India and around the world to explore best practises and strategies in the field of museum development and management. The Summit is being held in collaboration with Bloomberg.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, on the occasion of National Tourism Day, launched a digital booklet on 75 incredible sites to visit in India and Incredible India 2022 digital calendar by the Ministry of Tourism dedicated to tourism sites. The National Tourism Day celebration happened virtually this year owing to Omicron scare and subsequent restrictions.
