Udaipur Tales International Storytelling Festival is returning to the City of Lakes, promising an enchanting experience from 10 to 12 January, 2025. Known for celebrating the ancient art of oral storytelling, this festival has captivated audiences by gathering renowned storytellers, writers, and enthusiasts worldwide. In its sixth edition, the event promises even more magic, set against the captivating backdrop of Udaipur. This year’s festival will feature a range of storytelling genres, including history, romance, mysticism, and mystery, along with a dedicated children’s section. This diversity ensures something for everyone, taking listeners on a journey into different worlds, emotions, and experiences. Rajasthan to launch mini travel marts in Jodhpur & Udaipur to boost domestic tourism

Gayatri Rathore, Principal Secretary – Tourism, Government of Rajasthan & Chairman, Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has said that her department is reviving the Rajasthan Domestic Travel Mart (RDTM), which was last held in 2018, to attract domestic buyers and sellers. According to Rathore, Rajasthan Tourism is eying to organise RDTM in February 2022 in association with the Federation of Hospitality and Tourism of Rajasthan (FHTR) apart from launching small, localised travel marts in booming destinations such as Jodhpur and Udaipur to tap the domestic market in the smaller cities as well.

Sarovar Hotels to add 16 properties across India by 2019-end

In a bid to expand its footprint in India, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts has plans to come up with 16 new properties by the end of 2019. With this move, it will be adding approximately 970 rooms to its current portfolio. As of now, the company has 6,000 rooms and manages three properties overseas and has a total of 73 hotels in the country. The upcoming hotels will be categorised under three brands— Sarovar Premiere, Sarovar Portico and Hometel Suites. These hotels will be located in multiple destinations which include Goa, Dehradun, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Udaipur, Junagadh, Dahisar, Dibrugarh, Morbi, Jammu, Bodh Gaya, and Dindi, among others. Amongst the 16 hotels, the majority will be under the Sarovar Portico brand, the hotel at Dahisar will be Hometel Suites brand while the property at Bodh Gaya will be under the Sarovar Premiere brand.

Jukaso Journeys adds five new properties to portfolio

Jukaso Journeys has acquired five properties in Udaipur, Corbett, Manali, Bhimtal and Dharamshala over the last three months. These are Jukaso Sai Palace Udaipur, Jukaso Jim Corbett, Jukaso Seven Heaven Bhimtal, Jukaso Mrikula Cottage Manali and Jukaso Palace Dharamshala. Jukaso Journeys is planning to expand and hence aims to open 15 properties by the end of 2018.
