Tourism has huge potential, we will ensure best facilities, infra: Ajay Bhatt

Ajay Bhatt, Minister of State, Tourism, has said that tourism has a huge potential in the country. “We have endeavored to ensure that the tourists get the best facilities and infrastructure while they tour the country. Whenever we get a request regarding facilities, etc. from a concerned department, we ensure it is disposed of at the earliest. The police personnel are also sensitised to deal with the tourists,” he said.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture will be leading the International Day of Yoga (IDY) Celebrations at Parade Grounds, Secunderabad in Hyderabad. The Chief Guest will be Vice President of India, M Vankaiah Naidu. The State Tourism Ministers, Shripad Yesso Naik and Ajay Bhatt, will be leading the celebrations at Churches and Convent of Goa and Wagah Border, Amritsar, respectively.

MOT sanctions 15 projects under Swadesh Darshan scheme in South India: Ajay Bhatt

Speaking at the Conference of Tourism & Culture Ministers of Southern Region in Bengaluru, Ajay Bhatt, MoS, Tourism, has said that under the Swadesh Darshan scheme, MOT has sanctioned 15 projects, which include projects in Andhra Pradesh worth ₹141 crore; 5 projects in Kerala worth ₹413 crore; three projects in Telangana worth ₹266 crore; projects worth ₹73 crore in Tamil Nadu and in Puducherry projects were ₹148 crore.

Our priority is to bring tourism sector on top & back on its feet: Ajay Bhatt, MoS, Tourism

Ajay Bhatt, the newly appointed Minister of State, Tourism, took charge and shared that the priorities for him in the new role is to take the country forward and tourism sector at the top position. “We will take briefing and will come to know things clearly. Then, we would know what can be done about the issues and problems. The hotel industry is completely closed and small shops around tourist sites have been out of jobs, this include locals, rickshaws, taxis, guides, daily wagers, etc. All of them have faced problems. For them, the Government has created many schemes. Now that the situation is improving day by day, we hope to soon come back to the old level of tourism in India,” he said.
