Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurates ITM Lucknow

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently inaugurated India Travel Mart (ITM) Lucknow in the presence of Rita Bahuguna Joshi, Tourism Minister, Uttar Pradesh and other senior dignitaries, delegates, exhibitors, hoteliers, travel agents, tour organisers and media from various parts of the country. Many tourism departments like Host State – Uttar Pradesh Tourism, Partner State – Gujarat Tourism & Rajasthan Tourism, Himachal Tourism, Jharkhand Tourism, Uttarkhand Tourism, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, West Bengal Tourism, Delhi Tourism, Spiceland Holidays, Globewel Holidays Dubai, Club Mahindra, Country Inn Group of Hotels & Resorts,  Travel Mail, Hoteliers, travel agents and tour organisers participated at the event.

Delhi Tourism website gets a facelift

Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation (DTTDC) has launched the revamped version of its official website www.delhitourism.gov.in. Keeping in mind previous year’s overarching theme of World Tourism Day, “One Billion Tourists – One Billion Opportunities,” DTTDC refurbished its website to attract more number of visitors to its website and encourage them to visit the city to explore the city and thus increase tourism in the state. The new look for DTTDC website was launched today by Padmini Singla, MD & CEO, DTTDC along with other senior officials of DTTDC at DTTDC Headquarters. Singla said, “Dotted with historical monuments and ruins, there is a lot that Delhi can boast about. The new look for Delhi Tourism official website will not only provide ease of access but will encourage tourists to plan their trip as per their preference.” The website’s features, such as ‘About the city, How to travel, Modes of transportation available, Best season to visit, Hangout zones, Cuisines, Events, Accommodations, Planning Itinerary, Packages, HO-HO Bus Service, Historic and Heritage Places to visit, Regular Walks & Tours, Museums and Dilli Haats, besides various other properties of Delhi Tourism like Garden of Five Senses, Azad Hind gram, GTB Memorial, etc. The e-commerce based booking services for the national & international packages offered by DTTDC and its travel partner provides various services like booking of Air Fare, Booking of Accommodation, booking of Car/Coaches, booking of Tour Packages & providing Travel Insurance. Delhi’s Garden Tourism Festival from Feb 19-21

Delhi Tourism will organise the 29th Garden Tourism Festival from 19-21 February, 2016, at The Garden of Five Senses, New Delhi. The three day extravaganza will showcase variety of flora and fauna to charm garden enthusiasts. The major participants during the festival are the horticulture departments of NDMC, DDA, DJB, SDMC, EDMC, HUDA, Noida Authority, Northern Railways and others. With the theme “Garden for Environment and Health,” the main objective of this year’s festival is to encourage visitors to contribute in the cause for protection of environment as it is directly related to their own health. Soumya Gupta, Managing Director and CEO of DTTDC, says, “Special transport will be arranged from the nearest metro station to provide seamless experience to the visitors. A number of elements have been included to increase the number of visitors to the festival.” The festival will showcase terrariums, 3 day non-stop musical extravaganza, workshops, lectures, plays on environment and horticulture, cultural programmes in association with Sahitya Kala Parishad, Hindi Academy etc. A food festival to savor the taste of Delhi’s delicacies, activities like magic show, adventure activities will also be organised.
