Gujarat develops Nada Bet as a destination, builds tourism infrastructure 

The Gujarat government’s Seema Darshan project is being constructed as a major spot at Nada Bet in Banaskantha district. Jenu Devan, Managing Director, Tourism Corporation of Gujarat, said that the Seema Darshan project which was inaugurated in December 2016 at Nada Bet has already started receiving around 4,000-5,000 visitors during the weekends. “The tourism department is now trying to promote Nada Bet on the lines of the Wagah Border with not only a Retreat Ceremony, but also creating a two-three hours tour package for that entire area which will include a tourist facilitation centre, auditorium, museum, interpretation centres, and other amenities. Electric vehicles will be introduced that will take the tourists around the 25 km border area up to zero point where they will be allowed to take photographs,” he said.

Andaman, Gujarat & Karnataka seek urgent financial relief, write to government

Tourism stakeholders of the Andaman Islands, Gujarat and Karnataka have sought urgent financial relief from their respective state governments and tourism departments, while also suggesting measures of revival. Said representations have been made by Andaman Association of Tour Operators, Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Karnataka Tourism Society, respectively.

TAAI Gujarat chapter begins vaccination drive

The Gujarat chapter of Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) has tied up with Samved Hospital in Ahmedabad to facilitate COVID-19 vaccination of its accredited members as well as their spouse. ADTOI Convention kicks off today, Secretary and ADG sessions on Day-2

ADTOI, with support from MOT, is all set to kick-off its 10th Annual Convention today with support from Ministry of Tourism at Kevadia, Gujarat. ADTOI Convention from 12-14 Feb at Statue of Unity, Gujarat

ADTOI has announced that their 10th Annual Convention will be taking place from 12-14 February at Statue of Unity, with the support of Gujarat Tourism. The theme of the convention is Domestic Tourism – Hope For The Revival ‘Dekho Apna Desh’. To be held at the Convention Hall, Tent City 2, Kevadia, Gujarat. PP Khanna revealed that the convention is aimed at promoting domestic tourism and they have been in talks with Gujarat Tourism for a long time, and they will be together be promoting Kevadia as an upcoming domestic destination.
