A total of six regions from South Korea will be showcased at the first virtual Korea Travel Expo which is to be held from June 22-24, 2021. The regions, represented by their RTOs, are Seoul, Busan, Incheon, Gyeonggi, Jeju and Gyeongsangbuk-do, revealed Young-Geul Choi, Director, Korea Tourism Organization. In response to competition in the global aviation market, Korean Air has announced some network realignment. Commencing December 2016, Korean Air will introduce direct flights from Seoul to New Delhi. The capital is a commercial hub for many Korean and global companies. In addition to corporate travel, New Delhi is currently in high demand as a tourism destination.

Asiana Airlines is expanding its non-stop Incheon (Seoul) to New Delhi flight from three to five times a week starting July 3, 2016. The airline flies an Airbus 300-330 on this route with a configuration of 30 business class seats and 260 travel class seats. The flight on DEL-ICN route will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, whereas the ICN-DEL  flight will be operational on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday. This additional flight demonstrates both the growing market for leisure and business travelers as well as Asiana Airlines ongoing commitment to expanding connectivity between Korea and India.
