Goa proposes 20,000-seat arena, Lord Parshuram statue and museum to boost tourism

At the State Tourism Ministers’ meet in Rajasthan’s Udaipur, the Goa tourism department proposed two flagship tourism projects. A state-of-the-art 20,000-seat mega performance arena at Mandrem and a Lord Parshuram statue and museum at Loliem in Canacona, have been planned in the state to enhance visitor experience, create employment and strengthen Goa’s positioning as a global tourism destination, said Rohan Khaunte, Tourism Minister, Goa. The initiative will serve as an anchor project for hinterland tourism development in South Goa, aligning with the state’s vision of regenerative tourism and ‘Goa Beyond Beaches.

Udaipur to host national tourism conference on15–16 October

Udaipur will host a two-day national tourism conference, bringing together Tourism Ministers and officials from all States and Union Territories. Scheduled for 15–16 October and chaired by Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Tourism Minister, GoI, the event will focus on shaping India’s tourism policies and roadmap. Key discussions will include sustainable and digital tourism, alongside presentations on ongoing schemes from various state tourism departments. The conference aims to create a collaborative framework for enhancing India’s tourism ecosystem.
