Discover Oman’s coast by renting a motor home

One of the best ways to experience the beautiful coastline of Oman is to drive the east coast road from north to south; at every turn you will find another stunning outlook and pristine beach location where your only company will be sea birds, turtles and the occasional dolphin surfing by. Hotels are few and far between along this stretch of road so a fabulous alternative to a long drive between cities is to hire a camper van and pitch your camp wherever the mood takes you. Camping in Oman is safe and allowed on all beaches except those designated as nature reserves and turtle nesting grounds. Always take plenty of water, ensure you have enough petrol to complete your journey, take care with fires and drive with caution on soft sand. Carry out what you carry in, leaving only footprints and taking only photographs and lasting memories.
