IndiGo expands across Atlantic with new codeshare connections to US

IndiGo is strengthening its international network with the launch of new codeshare connections via Istanbul to USA. This strategic expansion opens up world of possibilities for Indian travelers, allowing seamless access to New York, Boston, Chicago, and Washington, effective from June 15 2023, through its codeshare partnership with Turkish Airlines. These new connections mark an important milestone, with Indigo’s entry into a new continent, reinforcing its commitment to enhancing international connectivity from India. IndiGoReach and InterGlobe Foundation organise ‘My City My Heritage’ walk, uncovering Shillong’s historical gems

IndiGoReach, the CSR arm of IndiGo and InterGlobe Foundation (IGF), the philanthropic arm of InterGlobe Enterprises, organised a heritage walk on April 23, 2023 in Shillong, Meghalaya. The walk is part of the ‘My City My Heritage’ campaign, which aims to raise awareness about the value and importance of heritage and culture in India. The objective is to set the tone for conversations and partnerships around the preservation of both tangible and intangible heritage. ‘My City My Heritage’ campaign kicked off November 2022 in Delhi, followed by heritage walks in Prayagraj and Bhubaneswar. The walk conducted in India’s rock music capital, Shillong, was led by Mary Therese Kurkalang and accompanied by Anees Ailynti Noronha, IndiGo senior leadership, staff members, members of local community and government officials. The walk explored iconic landmarks such as Dylan’s Café, St Edmund’s Church, Laitumkhrah Market, Don Bosco Square, the Catholic Cathedral, Ward’s Lake and concluded at Pinewood Hotel. Turkish Airlines & IndiGo resume existing codeshare partnership

IndiGo and Turkish Airlines have resumed their codeshare flights and partnership by opening the sale earlier this month. Scheduled operations will be restarted in a phased manner with the first flight effective yesterday. The codeshare is considered as Bilateral Free Flow Codeshare wherein both the airlines will place its code on another’s flights. The agreement will enable both the carriers to provide more flexibility of choice to the customers on sectors between India and Istanbul, amongst others. In the 1st phase, both the airlines are open for sale, with Turkish Airlines as the marketing carrier, and IndiGo as the operating carrier. Turkish Airlines will be placing its code on trunk route flights operated by 6E on the Delhi-Istanbul route and later from six domestic destinations in India including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata. Air France-KLM and IndiGo implement their extensive codeshare

Further to the lifting of the Air Bubble Agreement in India and to the necessary governmental approval, Air France-KLM and IndiGo, India’s leading carrier, have implemented the extensive codeshare agreement announced in December 2021. With this partnership, Air France and KLM will ultimately offer their customers access to 30 new Indian destinations and a large number of round-trip combinations for both business and leisure purposes. Customers will be able to fly to the destination of their choice with one single booking. Flying Blue members will also be able to earn miles on all routes covered by this agreement. On departure from their respective hubs in Paris and Amsterdam, Air France and KLM already serve four destinations in India: Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru. On departure from the multiple points in India, Air France and KLM will open up their global network of over 300 destinations to IndiGo customers, with more than 120 destinations in Europe and about 50 in the Americas. Scindia flags off 6 new UDAN from Kanpur & new connections from Indore

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation inaugurated the IndiGo flight between Kanpur – Bengaluru. Scindia said that this new route will not only enhance connectivity to/from Kanpur but will also promote trade, commerce and tourism between these cities. We can fly seven hours from Delhi, seven hours from Mumbai, seven hours from Kolkata seven hours from Chennai and that gives us a circle, which goes to something like Moscow, Barcelona, Nairobi, Manila, Beijing, Shanghai. Jyotiraditya Scindia announces 4 new Indigo flights to operate in MP from 1st September

Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, has announced that four new Indigo Flights will start operating in Madhya Pradesh from September 1, 2021 with everyday frequency. IndiGo to launch IATA Travel Pass for int’l travel on Aug 20

Indian carrier IndiGo has partnered with IATA to launch a pilot project for the IATA Travel Pass. The Pass (a mobile App) will enable travellers to create a digital passport where they can share their test and vaccination certificates, to meet the SOPs of the destination they are travelling to. The pilot project will begin in the country from August 20. The IATA Travel Pass will also enable authorised labs and test centres to securely send test results or vaccination certificates to passengers.
