The Philippines Tourism Board is thrilled to announce an enchanting road show across four major cities in India, showcasing the captivating beauty and diverse cultural treasures of the Pearl of the Orient, the Philippines. This eagerly anticipated event offers a unique opportunity for Indian travel professionals and enthusiasts to embark on a journey of discovery and exploration.  The roadshow will take place from 07th to 11th August 2023 and cover the cities of Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, and Mumbai. This exceptional event aims to forge a deeper connection between the Philippines and India, fostering an understanding of the Philippines’ rich heritage, pristine landscapes, and warm hospitality.  During the roadshow, esteemed participants will have the privilege to engage with prominent Philippine tourism stakeholders, including hotels, tour operators, airlines, and representatives from the Department of Tourism. Indians spent close to approximately 10 billion on travel overseas in the first nine months of 2022–23, more than in any prior fiscal year, according to the Nangia Andersen LLP July Edition Report, titled Unlock the Potential: A look into Outbound Tourism.

According to the analysis of Asian Development Bank report, India is predicted to overtake China in terms of outbound travel growth over the next ten years, despite the lack of airports restricting air connectivity.

Guldeep Singh Sahni, Director, Weldon Tours And Travels expressed gratitude to Finance Ministry over TCS Amendment. “It was a big relief for the travel industry. The outbound tour operators’ business is greatly impacted by this decision and it is victory for the sector.

Ministry of Finance has announced that there will be no change in the rate of TCS for all purposes under LRS and for overseas travel tour packages, regardless of the mode of payment, for amounts up to Rs. 7 lahks per individual per annum. For the purchase of overseas tour program package under Clause (ii) of Sub-section (1G), the TCS shall continue to apply at the rate of 5% for the first Rs 7 lakhs per individual per annum; the 20% rate will only apply for expenditure above this limit. Increased TCS rates to apply from 1st October 2023

In addition to the transportation under strict security measures, the critical stages of palletizing, custody and transfer were carried out in a temperature controlled environment to meet requirements to ensure the preservation of this unique artwork.
