According to a report by Visa & EY, tourism sector is on track to become a trillion-dollar industry by 2047. The report also mentioned that data-driven tourism, emerging technologies to be major driving force behind this growth

Minister of Tourism, G. Kishan Reddy said in Lok Sabha that in order to attract foreign investment in the tourism sector, 100% FDI is allowed under the automatic route in the tourism and hospitality industry in India, subject to applicable regulations and laws.

‘Meghalaya Tourism Policy, 2023 in Shillong’ aims to develop tourism sector as a game changer for the state and effectively augment its meagre resources by exploiting the abundantly available natural bounty that can attract visitors from across the globe.  

V Vidyavathi, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, held a review meeting with the senior officers of the MOT on 12th June to address and discuss the usage of PM Gati Shakti Mission for the overall development of the tourism sector in the country
