IATA said India’s decision to re-introduce coronavirus testing for international passengers is “disappointing and a step backwards” as the current situation is different from when the pandemic started around three years ago.

The second edition of the Sky Diving Festival in Madhya Pradesh is going to start from 05 January 2023 at Datana Airstrip in Ujjain. With reference to the recent news on Covid-19 preventive measures stating that RT-PCR Test would be made mandatory for international arrival passengers from China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong and Thailand which has been circulated during the past weekend. Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) India Offices (New Delhi & Mumbai) have been closely monitoring this news and would like to inform that until now there has not be been any official announcement either from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare or from Ministry of Civil Aviation of India. The last measure of official announcement is based on “Guidelines for International Arrivals” issued by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on 22nd December, 2022, which mentioned that 2% of the total passengers in flight shall undergo random post arrival testing at the airport on arrival. Kindly be informed that since 1st October, 2022, international travellers to Thailand no longer require to show any proof of vaccination or ATK test result. Tourism in Thailand is back to normal and has no restrictions of travel across the country. All businesses and tourism related products and services are opened and are geared up for the New Year celebrations with suitable measures. Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today operated its first flight from Lucknow – the 11th city in its network, marking the airline’s entry into Uttar Pradesh. Hahn Air added 14 new carriers to its leading network of more than 350 airlines throughout 2022. With Hahn Air’s solutions, the partners can sell their flights in 190 markets, including markets outside of their route network, where they are not available with their own distribution set-up. When the partners sign an interline agreement with Hahn Air, travel agents can book their flights in the GDSs and issue them on the insolvency-safe Hahn Air HR-169 ticket, even in markets where the airlines are not participating in the local payment system (e.g. BSP or ARC). With the products H1-Air and X1-Air, partner airlines with no or limited GDS presence benefit from being available in all major GDSs under the H1 or X1 code and can be ticketed with Hahn Air as the validating carrier. The five new interline partners are Fly Pelican from Australia, ITA Airways from Italy, Jordan Aviation from Jordan, Safarilink from Kenya, and Transair from Senegal.
