TAFI announces its 2023 convention from Nov 4-7 onboard Costa Serena

The Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI) has announced its TAFI Convention 2023, which will take place onboard Costa Serena from November 4-7, 2023. Registrations are open for members interested in attending this. Starting November 2023 until January 2024, Costa Serena will offer 23 sailings visiting Mumbai, Cochin, Goa and, for the first time ever, Lakshadweep islands.

Malaysia Airlines expects to touch pre-COVID capacity in India by 2023 end, will look at upping frequencies

Having added 3 new routes from KL to India recently, Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group MD of Malaysia Aviation Group, says, “India remains a key market for Malaysia Airlines. Currently, our average load factor on this route is at 81% YTD July 2023. We expect to restore our pre-COVID-19 capacity back in the Indian market by end of 2023 and will also look to increase flight frequencies to other destinations.”

IATO expects participation of 900-1,000 delegates at annual convention in Aurangabad

MOT to launch national ‘Tourism for Tomorrow’ competition on World Tourism Day

The Ministry of Tourism is launching a national competition on ‘Tourism for Tomorrow’ to identify best practices and case studies aligned with the five priorities of the G20 Goa roadmap, which have successfully been implemented by states, destinations and industry stakeholders, and can be replicated and scaled up across the country. The competition will be launched on World Tourism Day on September 27.
