Lockdown Fatal for Amusement Park in Maharashtra, IAAPI requests to operate at 50% capacity

Amusement Park industry will remain closed as per the latest Maharashtra govt. notification, to prevent spread of Omicron. Rajeev Jalnapurkar – Chairman, IAAPI and Director Ramoji Film City, requested the state government to allow amusement parks & theme parks to operate on 50% capacity as allowed to indoor venues like malls, cinemas, restaurants, gyms, saloons, etc for survival and employment retention in the industry.

ETAA North changes the core committee, adds new membership head

The ETAA north India committee organized a networking event at the Taj Ambassador, New Delhi on December 8, ensuring all appropriate COVID protocols. Tourism & Events Queensland, jointly with Tourism Australia, announces photo contest for travel trade partners in India

Tourism & Events Queensland, in conjunction with Tourism Australia, has specially produced tutorial guides on how to capture the best ‘Night’, ‘Action’ and ‘Landscape’ photography shots. These tutorials (a series of 3 x 2mins videos) are produced in association with Queensland’s content creator Jesse Lindeman. To inject a bit of fun, the State Tourism Organisation is running a photography contest only for its India-based trade partners. The first 25 qualified entries will win a A$20 Amazon vouchers. In addition, the top three winners will also win one of Jesse’s exclusive Queensland print (framed).     The contest is open to all outbound travel trade staff based in India. However, the participant will need to register as an Aussie Specialist Program (ASP) agent in Tourism Australia’s online portal. It is easy. All the staff need to do is to login (or register if he/she is not yet an ASP agent) to learn from a few easy tips explained in the tutorials. Each participant then submit his/ her your own favorite photo(s) to Diksha Singh (dsingh@tourism.australia.com) by 28th January 2022. Participant may choose to submit his/her photo under any of the below categories (note : please indicate chosen category in their email headline): (A) Night (B) Action (C) Landscape He/she can submit up to 3 photos per category. EbixCash wins prestigious long-term contract to automate and digitize West Bengal’s and Kolkata’s bus ticketing and fare collection system 

EbixCash has been awarded the prestigious contract to design, develop, build, install, maintain, operate, and transfer the Intelligent Transport Management System (ITMS) for all state buses operated by two government-owned transport companies: Calcutta Public Transport Corporation (CSTC) and West Bengal Transport Corporation (WBSTC). EbixCash will implement the on-demand bus automation system over a minimum of 1,500 buses in the state. The initial contract term is 7 years, with EbixCash rolling out the platform over the next 3 months.

RT-PCR not mandatory for inter state domestic travel: ICMR advisory 

Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) on Monday issued an advisory on Purposive Testing Strategy for COVID-19 in India, stating that RT-PCR is not required for individuals traveling interstate within India. MEA aims to open Passport Seva Kendra in every LS constituency

The Ministry of External Affairs signed an agreement for the second phase of the Passport Seva Programme with TCS, for opening a Seva Kendra in every Lok Sabha constituency — where there is no Passport Seva Kendra (PSK) or Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK).The Programme is connected to more than 176 Indian Missions through Global Passport Seva Programme (GPSP), for “seamless” delivery of passport services.
