PM’s idea of cooperative federalism reflected at South India tourism & culture ministers’ conference

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, in his address at the Conference of Tourism & Culture Ministers of Southern Region in Bengaluru, has said that the event is in line with the Prime Minister’s idea of cooperative federalism where GoI and state governments come together to find solutions for better India and for best cooperation. “Tourism sector is one of the major sectors that will create maximum employment. We should concentrate on creating employment generation in the southern region as well,” he said.

Kerala Government has made registration mandatory for service providers in the Adventure Tourism sector for conducting a wide range of land, water and air-related activities to ensure their quality and safety. Tourism Director V R Krishna Teja said Kerala considered adventure tourism as a highly promising segment, especially in the post-pandemic surge. “By introducing the registration system, foolproof safety and standard will be achieved in the sector, which will help Kerala to attract more tourists to this sector with utmost confidence,” he said.

Delhi NCR indicates strong travel demand as per study by Thomas Cook India

Delhi features as a top source market for Thomas Cook India. Lockdown fatigue and pent-up demand is resulting in strong travel desire from Delhites – Thomas Cook India has been witnessing a robust 60% month-on-month increase since re-opening in June 2021. Suspend Oyo IPO due to gross irregularities and fraudulent dealings: FHRAI

Objecting to gross misstatements and inadequate disclosures contained in the Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) issued by Oravel Stays (Oyo), FHRAI has made an official submission to SEBI to suspend its IPO process. Gurbaxish Singh Kohli, Vice President, FHRAI, says, “The investigation by the Competition Commission of India is a serious one. To our understanding, there has not been a single instance where a company being investigated for anti-competitive practices by the Director General of the CCI has been permitted to initiate an IPO.”
