Visit Brussels along with the Embassy of Belgium in India organises networking lunch for 35 trade partners in New Delhi

Visit.Brussels together with the Embassy of Belgium in India organized a networking lunch for 35 trade partners at the residence of H.E. François Delhaye, Ambassador of Belgium to India. The event was highly appreciated with warm interactions between the trade partners and representatives from the cultural, economic and visa sections of the Belgian Embassy. In fact, representing Visit.Brussels HQ was its Business Development Leisure – Pieter Callebaut, who was seen interacting with the travel fraternity, while reassuring them about the importance of the Indian market for Brussels’ tourism industry. The highlight of the event was Belgian gastronomy wherein participants were offered a spread of Belgian delights from waffles to beers and fries to Belgian beats. H.E. François Delhaye, while addressing the trade fraternity, said, “During these last two years we have been missing our Indian friends, but now Belgium is open for tourism again and we see the number of visa applications going up. Another good news is that we’ll probably see an increase in the number of flights between India and Europe in the coming weeks. The vaccination level in Belgium is very high and our hope is that this latest wave of Covid will not last long. Australia opens for fully vaccinated int’l students, Qantas announces Delhi flights in Dec

Qantas to launch a brand-new international route from Melbourne to Delhi from 22 December 2021, connecting Victoria to the Indian capital on a Qantas-operated flight for the first time in the airline’s history. From next month, Australia will open for certain categories of fully vaccinated international travellers like students, working holidaymakers and provisional family visa holders. Qantas will connect Delhi with Sydney and Melbourne from December. Australia has approved both Covishield and Covaxin as approved vaccines.

Philippines to welcome fully vaccinated tourists from India

Upon the DOT’s request, the Inter-Agency Task Force on the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) has approved the entry of fully vaccinated tourists from Green List countries. Only fully vaccinated individuals with vaccines recognized by the country’s Food and Drug Administration under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) or those authorized by the World Health Organization will be allowed entry to the country.

MoCA aims to double number of airports in India by 2023-24: Jyotiraditya Scindia

Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister, revealed that the Central government intends to double the number of airports in the country to more than 200 by 2023-24. He told a conference of state and UT civil aviation ministers that the Centre wants to build at least one heliport in each district in collaboration with the states and UTs. For seaplanes, capital support is expected from the states.

‘Evaluating process’ to regularise international flight operations: MoCA

Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Civil Aviation Minister said, “The government is assessing the process of regularising international flight operations. Keep in mind what’s going around the world, particularly in Russia and parts of Europe, experiencing a fourth wave despite vaccines,” he remarked at a CII event. The government will assess the COVID-19 situation, before deciding on scheduled international flights that were suspended in March 2020.
