MOT organising 12-episode web-series on ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’: G Kishan Reddy

Ministry of Tourism is organising a 12-episode web-series on Dekho Apna Desh in collaboration with the Association of Universities (AIU) to celebrate ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. “I am sure that the nation-wide, 12 episode-based series that we are launching today will give them this opportunity and take the participants on a virtual journey of India. UAE authorities recognise & approve Indian vaccines Covishield and Covaxin for travellers

UAE authorities recognised and approved vaccinations done in India. Anil Punjabi, Chairman (East), Travel Agents’ Federation of India (TAFI) has revealed, “UAE’s National Emergency & Crisis Management Authority has informed that passengers who have taken both doses of either Covishield or Covaxin in India to fly back if they have residency permits. The only requirement is that they should have completed the vaccination at least 14 days prior to travel.” Adding that the move will help hundreds of people who were stranded in India since March.

Vacation rental policy has led the tourism revival in Maharashtra: Valsa Nair

Valsa Nair, Principal Secretary, Tourism, Excise & Civil Aviation Govt Of Maharashtra, said, “The policy that has really led the tourism revival in Maharashtra is the vacation rental policy, which was a new discovery in the COVID times. A lot of independent houses and farmhouses in the state have now been thrown open to tourists. While many are ordinary ones, some are exclusive and owned by HNIs. There are many categories and the prices have skyrocketed. There are also operators who are now running such homes. As government, we are in the final stages to make it easier for the tourists to book into these vacation homes and make it easier for the owners to ensure that the right tourists come. We are also building in the food and civil supplies department. We are also bringing in the police to ensure that these are exactly used for the right purposes. The vacation rental I think is going to be the backbone of tourism revival in Maharashtra.”

FHRAI requests FM’s intervention in Rs60,000 crore loan guarantee scheme not yet notified

FHRAI has submitted a representation to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman requesting her intervention for notifying the Rs60,000 crore sanctioned under the Loan Guarantee Scheme for COVID-affected sectors that was announced on June 28. The Association has stated that neither the operational guidelines nor any other details of the scheme have been announced by the Ministry so far.
