TravelBullz has signed up Bangalore Classic Tours and Travels as GSA for South Indian market for enhancing reach and expansion across South India. The move will allow travel partners to increase their product portfolio and earn more revenue with the advanced B2B booking engine provided by TravelBullz. Bangalore Classic founded by Amarnath N is serving the industry since 1983.  

Vishwas Makhija, President, ATOAI said that the Adventure Travel Operators Associations of India (ATOAI) has reviewed and restructured its sub-committees. “ATOAI Committee Formations have been completed, we need more active participation in our committees as we move ahead.” He also informed about the total revamp of the ATOAI website for which the work has already begun.

Rating agency ICRA in a note said that the domestic airport sector is expected to incur a net loss of Rs 5,400 crore, and cash loss of Rs 3,500 crore in FY21, impacted by a 66% year-on-year slip in passenger traffic amid COVID-19 induced travel restrictions. It also said the domestic passenger traffic may drop by 61% in 2020-21.

Sharing plans for fleet numbers, Vinod Kannan, CCO, Vistara says, “We have not cancelled any deliveries. We are still taking aircraft. In fact, over the last couple of years, we’ve taken about seven or eight of them. Very importantly, we took deliveries of the 787s and the 321s. We have two, each of them, in our fleet right now. Türkiye has announced it rolls out a tourism employee vaccination registration program for tourism employees in coordination with The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Ministry of Health and Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA). The Program has launched within the scope of ‘Safe Tourism Certification Program’ to welcome international travelers for the upcoming tourism season and to ensure the health and safety of tourism employees and its residents remains its utmost priority. Since the launch of ‘Safe Tourism Certification Program’ in June 2020, Türkiye has been following stringent health and safety guidelines and taking all steps necessary to ensure it continues to be safe. Following the opening of the tourism season, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism started to work on inclusion of the tourism sector employees into the vaccination program in order to ensure that the tourism services in the country remain open throughout the year. The vaccination program will be meticulously carried out in coordination with the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor. Within the scope of the program, first of all the employees of accommodation facilities, restaurants, tour guides, travel agencies who is registered under the ‘Safe Tourism Certification Program’ will be vaccinated. In collaboration with The Ministry of Culture and Tourism and The Ministry of Health recently launched a platform where tourism facilities can register their employees for vaccination. The platform covers all key players of the tourism industry within the Safe Tourism Certification Program including the accommodation facilities, dining facilities, tour and transfer vehicles and tour guides. Bird Travels, the airline management service arm of Bird Group, has been appointed as the General Sales Agent in Mumbai for Maldivian – the national carrier of Republic of Maldives. The appointment is part of Maldivian’s expansion in India, which aims to strengthen the airline’s sales team and provide support to the Indian travel trade.

Nigerian airline Air Peace plans to start operations in India in 2021 and has appointed Minar Group as its General Sales Agent in India.
