Korea Tourism Organization has announced an Online Korea Grand Sale 2021, Korea’s representative culture and tourism festival for travellers from January 14 to February 28, 2021. The online event is hosted by Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism and Visit Korea Committee to target foreign travellers. The Online Korea Grand Sale brings popular K-contents such as ‘Korean Tourism Product Purchase Promotion’ for travel to Korea, ‘Korea Online Video Program’ for local experience of Korea, and ‘Online Shopping Promotion’ providing special discounts.

Goa Tourism will be the single window and nodal department for granting permissions to all tourism events, according to new guidelines released by the State Government. Recently, Pramod Sawant, Chief Minister, Goa, had revealed that they are in the process of giving single window clearance for all permissions required for events.

India’s apex hotel association, FHRAI has appealed to Government of India to aggressively promote domestic tourism this year, and recommended that incentivising domestic tourism by offering tax exemption under Section 80C of up to Rs50,000 to Indian nationals will encourage them to travel, thus helping achieve the goal.

Tourism Minister PS Patel recently conducted a presentation on the development of tourism across the Ganga Basin, where Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, DG, National Mission for Clean Ganga and senior officers of the ministry were also present. In a tweet, Patel revealed that decisions were taken on the location and components of the project.
