Speaking at the 39th IATO Convention, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary,  Culture and Tourism, Madhya Pradesh, said that the state will develop 50 offbeat destinations to boost tourism along with training over 40,000 women in tourism-related jobs to boost employment.

As the 39th IATO Convention is set to take place in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, the association records 300 registrations within the first few days. More than 1,000 delegates from all over India are expected to take part in the convention. The key focus will be to promote the lesser-known destinations in Madhya Pradesh through post-tour activities.

39th IATO Annual Convention is scheduled to take place from 30 August to 2 September 2024 with the theme ‘Resurgent India Inbound’ in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The event is expected to witness the participation of 15 states and 900-1000 delegates from all over the country, which includes leaders from travel industry.

Following the 39th IATO Convention, Madhya Pradesh aims to claim the top spot in India’s tourism, under the guidance of Sheo Shekhar Shukla, MD of State Tourism Board. Highlighting the preparedness for 1,000 inbound operators, Mahendra Pratap Singh, Chairman, IATO MP Chhattisgarh Chapter, expressed belief that they will achieve the target.

Rajnish Kaistha, Sr. Vice President, IATO said, “With the blessings of the government and the CM, the 39th IATO Annual Convention is scheduled to be held in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal from 30 August to 2 September 2024. The idea is to bring better connectivity to Bhopal and put it onto the global tourist map.”
