Singapore Airlines (SIA) will become the world’s only airline to serve the iconic Cristal 2015 champagne, following an exclusive agreement with leading French champagne house Louis Roederer. Cristal 2015, which is celebrated for its exceptional quality and refined taste, will be served in SIA’s Airbus A380 Suites and Boeing 777-300ER First Class cabins from 1 December, 2024. Initially available on flights between Singapore and Delhi, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, Shanghai, Sydney, and Tokyo, the offering will rotate to other Suites and First-Class routes on a three-month rotational basis. Crafted by cellar master Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon, Cristal 2015 blends 40 per cent Chardonnay and 60 per cent Pinot Noir, sourced from 45 vineyard plots across Louis Roederer’s seven Grands Crus. It exemplifies meticulous attention to detail, from a bespoke, sustainable viticulture approach of Louis Roederer’s exceptional Grand Cru vineyards to the artful blending and extended cellar ageing that gives the wine its depth and elegance. ITA Airways continues to offer its new direct flight between Rome Fiumicino and Bangkok through the 2025 summer season. This route will be operational from 16 November, 2024. The new Rome-Bangkok flight is available for purchase through all ITA Airways’ channels also for the summer season, beginning 30 March, 2025. During the winter season 2024/2025, the flight will operate with five weekly frequencies from Rome Fiumicino every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and from Bangkok every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. In the 2025 summer season, flights from Rome Fiumicino will operate with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, while departures from Bangkok will be on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

ITA Airways announced that connections between Tel Aviv Ben Gurion and Rome Fiumicino will be resumed starting 5 September, 2024.   The airline will initially operate a daily daytime service, with the following schedule: AZ807 Tel Aviv-Rome Fiumicino, departing from Tel Aviv at 2:30 p.m. (local time) and arriving in Rome at 5:15 p.m. (local time). AZ806 Rome Fiumicino-Tel Aviv, departing from Rome at 9:10 a.m. (local time) and arriving in Tel Aviv at 1:30 p.m. (local time). In addition, ITA Airways will resume nighttime flights from 1 October, 2024 (AZ809 from Tel Aviv to Rome and AZ810 from Rome to Tel Aviv), which will remain suspended until 30 September, 2024. The airline will continue to closely monitor geopolitical developments in the Middle East and evaluate their potential impact on operations.

Oman Air received delivery of its latest Boeing B787 9 aircraft, the first of three scheduled for this year. Part of an existing order, which includes eight more aircraft by 2027, the newest marks the tenth Dreamliner in the airline’s fleet. As one of the world’s most modern and advanced passenger aircraft, the B787-9 is known for its innovative design and exceptional fuel efficiency, while its wide cabins and large windows offer unparalleled on-board comfort for guests. The aircraft touched down in Muscat on 23 August 2024, arriving from the Boeing facility in Seattle. “We’re excited to welcome our new Boeing B787-9 to our aircraft line-up, which aligns with our strategy to fly a modern and common Oman Air fleet. Jazeera Airways, Kuwait leading low cost carrier, recently introduced sustainable food service ware on all flights across its network of 64 destinations. By changing from plastic cutlery to 100% biodegradable spoons, forks, knives and napkins, Jazeera reduces 300 kilograms of plastic on its flights each month. The cutlery manufactured by Dubai based Palmade is made from natural materials including leaves of the date palm trees. All of these materials are certified biodegradable and compostable. Earlier in the year,  As part of its sustainable practices, Jazeera has also switched from plastic stirrers to wooden stirrers. The airline is the first low-cost carrier in the Middle East to replace plastic in-flight food service ware with eco-friendly options. Rohit Ramachandran, Chief Executive Officer, Jazeera Airways said “As a low cost carrier, we have to be cost conscious in our business, but we are also mindful of our ethical, social and environmental accountability.
