Café Akasa’s special Onam feast will help you celebrate Onam in the skies.

Café Akasa, the onboard meal service of Akasa Air, introduced a special Onam meal for travellers to savour the authentic flavours of this southern Indian festival and enjoy traditions from across India even while flying. As an ode to this custom, the meal comprises of regional favourites such as spicy kadala curry wrap in malabari paratha which is a black Bengal gram curry in a griddled fried layered Paratha. This is served with traditional delicacies – Neiappam and Ada Pradhaman along with a choice of beverage. The special festive meal is available from 1st August to 31st August, 2023 across the Akasa Air network and can be pre-booked on Akasa Air’s website or mobile app as well as with select online travel agents (OTAs). Like the traditional onam meal, this specialty has had an emphasis on nutrition and richness nutritional values and the highest standards of hygiene and quality. As a part of Café Akasa’s refreshed menu, customers can now expect an expansive choice of over 60 meal options including healthy, fusion, festive and gourmet meals that cater to a wide array of diets and palettes. Since beginning operations in August 2022, Akasa Air has introduced specially curated meal options that are motivated by regional specialties connected with celebrations during popular festivals and special occasions like Ganesh Chaturthi, Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, Makar Sankranti, Valentine’s Day, Holi, Eid al-Fitr, Mother’s Day, International Yoga Day, and Monsoon. Akasa Air adds four aircraft to its original order book of 72 Boeing 737 Max to support international expansion

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today declare an order for four additional Boeing 737-8 jets at the ongoing Paris Air Show, a follow-up to the already placed order of 72 aircraft taking it to a total of 76 aircraft which include 23 737-8s and 53 high-capacity 737-8-200 aircraft. The airline is also on course to announce another significant three-digit aircraft order by the end of 2023. As Akasa Air targets to commence international operations by the end of 2023, the additional order of four 737-8s will fortify the airline’s plans to strengthen its expansion strategy. Since launching operations in August 2022, Akasa Air is fastest-growing airline in the country with a fleet of 19 aircraft which has carried over 3 million revenue passengers and crossed the milestone of operating over 900 weekly flights with a published network of 36 unique routes connecting 16 cities. Akasa Air introduces in-flight safety manual in Braille

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, today introduced its in-flight safety manual in Braille for persons with visual impairments. In keeping with the airline’s core value of empathy and ensuring that each of our customers have a warm and consistent experience, the Braille in-flight safety manual provides an explanation of the safety instructions, in English and Hindi. Akasa Air has partnered with The Xavier’s Resource Centre for the Visually Challenged (XRCVC) to develop this Braille in-flight safety manual. The Braille in-flight safety manual provided to passengers onboard upon request, covers detailed instructions on seatbelt operation, location of emergency exits and life jackets, tactile diagrams that help orient passengers to aircraft and aircraft positions and other essential safety information. Commenting on the launch, Belson Coutinho, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing & Experience Officer, Akasa Air, said, “We are committed to being socially cohesive with a focus on being dependable, warm, efficient, and reliable and our Braille in-flight safety manual is a testimony to this commitment. Akasa Air’s rapid growth continues, announces Hyderabad as the 13th destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, today announced its entry into Telangana with the addition of Hyderabad as the 13th destination to join the airline’s fast-growing network. The airline will offer daily flights on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Goa routes starting from January 25, 2023. In line with its phased but rapid approach to network expansion, in December 2022, the airline announced Goa as its 12th destination connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai. With this launch, Akasa Air will now offer six daily non-stop flights ex-Goa connecting three cities – Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Commenting on the launch, Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said, “We are pleased to launch Hyderabad as the 13th destination on our network. The city is an important centre of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals and connecting it with Goa and Bengaluru will cater to the strong demand for both, business, and leisure travel. Akasa Air introduces Goa as the 12th destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today announced the addition of Goa, the 12th destination to join the airline’s fast-growing network. Offering two daily flights from Goa to Bengaluru, increasing to three daily flights from February 1, 2023, and two daily flights from Goa to Mumbai, this enhanced connectivity between the commercial cities and one of the country’s most popular tourism hubs, will help boost economic growth and also help increase the tourist footprint. Akasa Air commences its maiden flight from Lucknow, the 11th destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today operated its first flight from Lucknow – the 11th city in its network, marking the airline’s entry into Uttar Pradesh. Akasa Air will offer daily flights on the Lucknow-Bengaluru and Lucknow-Mumbai route starting today. The first flight on the Lucknow-Mumbai route departed at 1100 hrs IST from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. Akasa Air operates its maiden flight from Visakhapatnam, the tenth destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, today inaugurated its maiden flight from Visakhapatnam, its tenth city, marking the airline’s foray into the state of Andhra Pradesh. Akasa Air will offer double daily flights on the Visakhapatnam-Bengaluru route; the second frequency with the added benefit of an early morning option will start from December 12, 2022. This launch to Visakhapatnam, a city playing a key role in India’s aviation growth story, further reiterates Akasa Air’s commitment towards enhancing regional connectivity and strengthening important transportation links in our country. The airline’s operations from Visakhapatnam will cater to the increased demand for travel from the city while offering its signature warm and reliable service to passengers on the most affordable fares.
