Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels has announced the signing of Zone Connect Darjeeling in West Bengal. Zone Connect brand falls under Zone by The Park portfolio. Currently, the hotel is undergoing phased upgradation and is being primed to open its doors to welcome guests in the coming winter season. The 65-rooms hotel is a perfect fusion of tastefully crafted contemporary décor with wooden flooring, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and modern amenities. Vikas Ahluwalia –General Manager and National Head – Zone by The Park Hotels, said “This strengthens our position in the East along with Zone by The Park, Kolkata and our upcoming hotel Zone by The Park Dimapur, which is expected to open by the end of this financial year.”

Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels has announced the signing of a heritage hotel – Zone Palace Phalodi in Rajasthan under its upscale social catalyst brand, Zone by The Park. Popularly known as the ‘Salt City’, Phalodi is a town in Jodhpur district, famous for its rich culture, whose history can be traced back to the 15th century. The hotel is undergoing a phased upgradation and will be all set to welcome guests this winter season. Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels has filed draft papers with market regulators Sebi for its proposed initial public offering to raise up to Rs. 1,000 crore. The amount to be raised through OFS comprises up to Rs. 125.4 crore by promoter selling shareholder, up to Rs. 354.9 crore by Apeejay, up to Rs. 84.7 crore by Apeejay House Pvt Ltd and Rs. 34.9 crore by investor selling shareholders, according to the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP). The company proposes to utilise the net proceeds towards repayment/prepayment of certain borrowings availed and for general corporate purposes. The company currently manages 22 hotels with 1,937 rooms across 15 cities in India. As per the DRHP, it has a pipeline of 1,536 rooms expected to begin operations within the next three years. The company also has a retail food and beverage business under the ‘Flurys’ brand, which operates 38 outlets in Kolkata, and one outlet each in Navi Mumbai and New Delhi.

The Park Hotels brought its year-long Golden Jubilee celebrations to The Park New Delhi on September 22. The event was presided over by Priya Paul, Chairperson, Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels and Vijay Dewan, Managing Director, The Park Hotels. The Park Hotels enters Jodhpur with the launch of its second hotel in Rajasthan – ‘Zone by The Park’. With 90 guest rooms, the latest Zone by The Park Jodhpur is located at the city centre in close proximity to popular tourist destinations such as Umaid Bhawan Palace and scenic Kalyana Lake. The city airport and railway station are minutes away from the hotel making it convenient for the guests. Zone Jodhpur boasts of 7,600 sq. ft. banquet hall with a spill over 14,000 sq. ft. outdoor lawn for large weddings, exhibitions, social gatherings, celebrations and conferences. The hotel has two restaurants and a discotheque. Zone by The Park is present in Coimbatore, Jaipur, Chennai ORR, Raipur, Bengaluru with upcoming hotels in Pondicherry, Igatpuri & Goa. The brand will have 17 properties by the year 2020; this will be about 1,500 keys in the next 4 years.
