Lemon Tree Hotels has signed a license agreement for a 69-room property located at Viman Nagar in Pune. The hotel is expected to be operational by March 2019 and shall be the third hotel, besides two other owned hotels of the company in Pune. Carnation Hotels, the hotel management arm of the company, will be operating and marketing this hotel.

Lemon Tree Hotels has announced the opening of its new hotel, Lemon Tree Hotel, Baddi, marking its entry into this industrial town of Himachal Pradesh. Carnation Hotels, the hotel management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels, will be managing this mid-scale hotel. The management agreement was signed by Rattan Keswani, Deputy Managing Director – Lemon Tree Hotels & Whole Time Director – Carnation Hotels, and M/s Royal Park (Owner). Speaking on the occasion, Rattan Keswani, said: We are pleased to add Lemon Tree Hotel, Baddi to the growing fleet of hotels and thank the promoters for their trust in us. Carnation Hotels, the wholly owned subsidiary and management arm of Lemon Tree Hotels, has signed an operating agreement for the groups’ first Red Fox hotel in Morjim, Goa with Unicorn Real Estate. With this signing, Lemon Tree Hotels doubles its consolidated inventory in the city. Red Fox Hotel, Goa will have 111 rooms and cater to leisure travellers looking for a pocket-friendly experience in Goa. The hotel is strategically located just a stone’s throw from the Morjim beach known for the fabled Olive Ridley Turtles and the golden sands. The hotel will be refurbished and renovated as per the Lemon Tree brand standards in the next few months and is expected to open doors to guests by October 2018. With the signing of this contract, Lemon Tree Hotels now has a development pipeline of 3096 rooms in 27 hotels across 22 new cities of India.

The Lemon Tree Hotel Company is on an expansion spree and will be opening 8-9 hotels at various destinations in India this year. Rattan Keswani, Deputy Managing Director, Lemon Tree Hotels & Director, Carnation Hotels, said, “In the Carnation operating space, we have 8-9 hotels opening in this fiscal year. Since the demonetisation pressure, some of our properties are getting delayed by another three months or four months. We will open hotels in Sikkim, Siliguri, Jammu, Corbett, Trivandrum, Coimbatore and we will open one hotel in Sohna Road as well. Also, there will be 7-8 hotels in managed space. But mid next year, there will be few openings that we will be doing in our own spaces. We will have Kolkata and Pune open and even Udaipur could be on cards.”
