According to JLL’s latest Hotel Momentum India (HMI) Q4, 2022, Bengaluru emerged as the RevPAR growth leader in Q4 2022 with 110.6% growth over Q4 2021, followed by Mumbai and Delhi with a YoY growth of 105.3% and 94.3% respectively.

The Indian hospitality sector witnessed strong growth in Q2 (April – June) 2022, according to JLL’s Hotel Momentum India (HMI) Q2, 2022. Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) witnessed an exponential growth of 339.3 % year-on-year (YoY) in Q2, 2022 over Q2 2021.

Goa recorded highest RevPAR in absolute terms, despite the single digit decline of RevPAR by 1.1% in Q1 2021 as compared to Q1 2020, revealed JLL’s Hotel Momentum India (HMI) Q1 2021. JLL’s Hotel Momentum India (HMI) Q2 2020, has revealed that Goa saw the sharpest decline in RevPAR in Q2 2020, with a 93.9 percent drop compared to the same period in the previous year.

According to JLL’s report titled ‘Hotel Momentum India’ for Q2 2020, Gujarat had the highest number of branded hotel openings in Q2 2020 at 111. It also had 129 branded hotel signings in the same period.

Domestic hotel operators dominated signings over international operators with the ratio of 68:32 in the first half (H1) of this year, revealed the Hotel Momentum India (HMI) report released by JLL. The report revealed that 36 per cent of new signings are conversions of old hotels. Also, it was seen that Gujarat had the highest number of branded hotel signings (1593) amongst all states, while West Bengal had highest number of branded hotel openings (926) from January to June, 2019.
