Air India, India’s leading global airline, and Merlin Entertainments, a global leader in location-based, family entertainment, have entered a global partnership for Air India’s Flying Returns (FR) loyalty programme. Effective 08 May 2024, Flying Returns members will earn Reward Points when they buy tickets to Merlin Entertainments’ Madame Tussauds across nine locations around the world. Two more Madame Tussauds locations will be added for the offering in the coming weeks, thus covering all worldwide locations of the popular tourist attraction. The partnership is powered by GlobalTix, Asia’s leading travel technology company, which enables the booking transactions. Air India’s Flying Returns members can earn up to 16 FR points per INR 100/USD 1.2 spent across participating Madame Tussauds locations. As part of an exclusive launch offer valid on bookings made until 25 June 2024 and visits completed until 30 June 2024, Flying Returns members can earn double Reward Points at five Madame Tussauds locations, namely Singapore, Bangkok, Dubai, London and New York. During the limited period, Flying Returns members will also get a complimentary entry for one child (2-11 years) accompanied by two adults at select Madame Tussauds locations. The 23rd edition of Madame Tussauds opens in New Delhi at the historic Regal building in Connaught Place. The entry fee is Rs 960 for adults while children below the age of 12 will be charged Rs. 760. The museum is operational starting December 1 from 10 AM to 7 PM every day, informed Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director, Merlin Entertainments India. With a star-studded line up of Indian and international celebrities, historic personalities and sportspersons from diverse genres, this toiurist attraction features 50 incredibly life like figures. “This is a truly exhilarating and emotional feeling to finally see Madame Tussauds open in Delhi. The 23rd edition of Madame Tussauds is set to open in New Delhi this June at Regal Cinema, Connaught Place. The wax attraction will exhibit over 50 figures from diverse leagues such as history, sports, music, cinema etc. The attraction will showcase 60 per cent of local celebrities and 40 per cent of international leaders as wax figures which will be created in an excess of Rs. 1.5 crores each. Merlin Entertainments, the operator of the attraction, plans to offer competitive ticket fares in order to attract large segment of Indian visitors and once open, Madame Tussauds will also offer special fares for students, and groups, informed Anshul Jain, General Manager and Director, Merlin Entertainments India. “The wax attraction will provide an immersive and exhilarating experience of the glittering world of renowned celebrities and personalities of the likes of Amitabh Bachachan, Narendra Modi, Sachin Tendulkar, Kim Kardashian, etc. We will also have a broader focus on Indian celebrities and I am sure that all the locals and tourists will cherish meeting their idol,” says Jain. Marcel Kloos, Director-New Openings Europe and Emerging Markets, Merlin Entertainments, adds that the attraction can accommodate 500 visitors at a time and will be open from 9 am to 8pm.
