This is a landmark moment, as Goa now becomes the only destination in India with direct air connectivity to Katowice, paving the way for increased tourism and a positive impact on the local economy. Enter Air’s bi-weekly charter flights, scheduled every Monday and Friday, promise to be a reliable bridge, encouraging more tourists to experience the unique blend of Indian and Portuguese culture, lush landscapes, serene beaches, and exceptional cuisine that Goa offers. Today’s arrival of Enter Air’s Boeing 737 at 08:20 hours, carrying 184 passengers, marked a significant step in Goa’s expanding global connectivity. The flight departed for Warsaw at 09:20 hours. Goa Welcomes New International Route as Uzbekistan Airways Launches Tashkent-Mopa Flights

Uzbekistan Airways has officially announced the commencement of direct flights from Tashkent to Goa, set to operate twice a week from 27 October 2024. The new route, serviced by the advanced Airbus A320 Neo, will connect Tashkent to the Manohar International Airport (Mopa), opening up new avenues for tourism and cultural exchange between Uzbekistan and Goa. The introduction of these flights comes after consistent follow-ups with the Uzbekistan Embassy and tour operators and with crucial support from the Indian Embassy in Tashkent. The concerted efforts of the Goa Department of Tourism have played a critical role in making this connection a reality. In line with these efforts to expand Goa’s global reach, Goa Tourism will also be participating in the upcoming Tashkent International Tourism Fair (TITF). Rohan A. Khaunte, Minister for Tourism welcomed this initiative, stating, “The introduction of direct flights from Tashkent to Goa marks a significant milestone in enhancing Goa’s connectivity with Central Asia. This new connection will not only boost tourism but also strengthen our cultural ties with Uzbekistan. GOX introduces Digi Yatra to Goa

Manohar International Airport, developed and operated by GMR Goa International Airport Ltd. a subsidiary of GMR Airports Infrastructure Ltd , is proud to declare the implementation of Digi Yatra system for air travellers in Goa. Introduced by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Digi Yatra Foundation, Digi Yatra is the next step towards creating a digitally empowered society. It offers a Biometric Enabled Seamless Travel experience based on Facial Recognition System . FRS enables contactless identification of passengers at key check points like – Airport Entry, Security Check and Boarding Gate. Passenger’s face becomes the boarding pass, taking out the need of physical documents like ID proof, etc. which were checked manually by the security officials. This makes the flight boarding process significantly faster and seamless as each passenger only needs less than 3 seconds at every touchpoint. This technology is also integrated with the Airlines Departure Control System, so only authenticated passengers are allowed to enter the terminal.
