Rashi Entertainment Celebrated 25 Years with a Royal Vivah Utsav for Underprivileged Daughters

Rashi Entertainment commemorated its 25th anniversary with a magnificent royal wedding ceremony, VIVAH UTSAV, where 28 underprivileged girls were married. This special event took place on Ganesh Chaturthi, 7 September, 2024, at Nevaeh, Delhi (NH 8), where 28 brides exchanged garlands with their life partners amidst over 1,000 guests. Amidst heavy rain, 28 grooms arrived with their wedding processions. The arrival of all the baraatis, greeted by the resonating sound of conches and the chanting of mantras by the acharyas, was truly a breath-taking sight. The grooms arrived in a mass baraat procession, accompanied by one of the best bands in town, Sohan Lal & Band, to meet their brides at Nevaeh, one of Delhi’s premium venues, which is a dream location for any family. The weddings were conducted with full traditional rituals, with each couple having a dedicated Pandit to ensure everything was performed according to the Shastras with the background Musical Pheras by Ankit Batra. In addition, each couple received over 50 essential items like, bed, admiral, fan, cloths, diner sets, ornaments, blankets, water coolers, and many more to start their new married life with new hope. The mic-dropping moment was when 28 couples exchanged varmalas in a choreographed manner by Laadi. The scene was a treat for the eyes of every guest. No need for copyright music license at weddings in Rajasthan; industry lauds move

Rajasthan Police has said that no license will be required by hotels and wedding venues in the state to play music to avoid violation of Copyright Act at any social function, including weddings. MP Bezbaruah, Secy General, HAI has called it a welcome move, while Rajeev Jain, Founder & MD, Rashi Entertainment, has said that money was being illegally extracted by some unauthorized associations and this move will help the industry.

1922 meetings conducted over 2 days at the Travel Wedding Show in Mumbai

The sixth edition of the Travel Wedding Show that took place over two days in Mumbai at the Westin Mumbai Garden City on July 13-14,  2019, recorded a whopping 1922 meetings in total.  Day one saw 31 exhibitors interact with 31 wedding planners over pre-scheduled table-top meetings, showcasing their offerings that would interest the growing wedding market. The second day followed a similar pattern but with tour operators, who also do weddings. The show managed to bring out some interesting trends emerging in the wedding segment. The first day’s session ended with a power-packed panel discussion where industry experts deliberated on why Indian weddings are going international. Social media is the biggest source for international wedding business

According to a Travel Wedding Show survey on how to generate business for weddings, 43 per cent of the business gets generated through social media; so the more one is on social media, he will get enquiries for international weddings, 25 per cent is by search engines. 13 per cent by referrals and rest is by other sources. In India, 50 per cent of the business gets generated through referrals; 20 per cent from social media; 15 per cent through search engine and 15 per cent from other sources. “Destination wedding for the next five years will be the biggest thing. Weddings are big business, and everyone wants a piece of the pie. If as wedding planners we have to survive, we need to go out, to different cities and destinations and procure more business. Indian and international destination weddings will remain, the next business thing,” says Rajeev Jain, Founder and Director, Rashi Entertainment.

2nd Travel Wedding Show kicks off in Jaipur

The second edition of the Travel Wedding Show is all set to open to a full house at Jaipur Marriott Hotel. The show will witness 32 high-profile exhibitors including bigwigs from Le Méridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Taj Hotels & Resorts, The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, AccorHotels, Abu Dhabi Tourism Board, Austria Tourism Board, Ras Al Khaimah Tourism, Destination Canada, among others. The Indian wedding industry is flourishing at a growth rate of 25 per cent per annum and is pegged at an estimated Rs 250,000 crore ($40 billion), said Rajeev Jain, Managing Director, Rashi Entertainment, keynote speaker at the Travel Wedding Show. In his speech, Jain said that with Indians spending 80% of their wealth on weddings, the sector has proved to be a great contributor to GDP. About 8% of Indians opt for destination weddings from which connectivity and accessibility is the chief factor while choosing locations.
