SpiceJet on Thursday said it will begin trial of IATA (International Air Transport Association) Travel Pass mobile app for digital health verification. The trial will be conducted on flights out of Mumbai to Male effective August 23, 2021, as a step towards building passenger confidence as international travel picks up. Indian LCC SpiceJet has introduced daily non-stop flights from Rajkot to Goa and Hyderabad. Flights will depart Rajkot at 14:00 hrs for Goa and at 19:45 hrs for Hyderabad. The return flight from Goa will depart at 17:05 hrs and that from Hyderabad will depart at 06:05 hrs. The carrier has also added to its Rajkot-Mumbai frequency, departing at 07:30 hrs and 05:40 hrs, respectively.

Indian LCC SpiceJet has introduced new exclusive non-stop flights from Patna to Surat and Bagdogra. SpiceJet recorded a Passenger Load Factor (PLF) of 70.8% in April, which was highest amongst all domestic scheduled operators, revealed Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). GoAir was second in line with 65.7% PLF, while Air Asia recorded 64%. IndiGo’s PLF in the month was 58.7% and Star Air registered its PLF at 55.5%. Vistara and Air India recorded 54.6% and 52% PLF respectively.

SpiceJet has announced non-stop flights connecting Delhi and Mumbai with London’s Heathrow airport from December 4. With this announcement, SpiceJet would become the third Indian airline, and the first low-cost carrier, to fly to London. The new connections come under the air bubble agreement with UK. “SpiceJet will operate thrice-a-week to London including twice from Delhi and once-a-week from Mumbai,” revealed Ajay Singh, CMD, SpiceJet on a virtual event for announcement of the new flight. SpiceJet will use an Airbus A330-900 Neo aircraft for these flights. This is a huge milestone for us and I am proud of the fact that SpiceJet will be the first Indian low-cost airline to operate non-stop long-haul flights to the UK.
