The Philippines will lift travel restrictions on passengers coming from 10 countries beginning September 6, Malacañang announced on Saturday.”President Rodrigo Roa Duterte approved the recommendation of the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) to lift the current travel restrictions in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia, and Indonesia starting Sept. 6, 2021,” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.

Thailand continues to be a dream destination for golfers from all around the world. In a recent survey, more than 97% respondents from India reveal that they rate Thailand as a top-quality destination for a golfing break. Besides world-class golf courses, factors contributing to this choice include warm hospitality, value for money, affordable luxury and proximity to India. Almost 97% of Indian golfers rated Thailand as one of the best golfing destinations, according to a survey conducted by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New Delhi Office & Sports & Leisure Worldwide (SLW), on ‘Golfing in Thailand’ with Golfers in India during 10-27 July 2020. It also revealed that majority of golfers, almost 88% are planning to travel abroad to play golf post COVID-19 and 92% kept safety as their prime concern for the outbound travel.

Thailand has topped the list of the world’s safest destinations to visit during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, according to a study by Germany-based travel company Tourane. based on various criteria including the 14-day notification rate of new COVID-19 cases and deaths per the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), International Health Regulations score, population density of the country, hours of sunshine per day for outdoor activities, and flight connections with Germany.
