Ahead of the Mahakumbh-2025, the new policy of star classification of hotels and resorts which was introduced in December 2023 by Yogi Adityanath government to promote the tourism industry in Uttar Pradesh will now be implemented in Prayagraj to boost tourism. The system will classify hotels based on their quality, services and guest experience, thereby boosting tourism.

The cabinet of Thailand has approved a tax cut on alcoholic beverages and entertainment venues aimed at boosting tourism. The taxes on wine will be reduced from 10 percent to 5 percent, while those on spirits will drop from 10 percent to zero. Additionally, the excise tax on entertainment venues will be halved from 10 percent to 5 percent.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, says that the country will scrap entry visa requirements for citizens of India and China visiting the nation beginning from 1 December 2023 for up to 30 days. This decision comes with a view to boost the tourism and local economy.
