United Airlines has launched its new daily nonstop service between Delhi and Chicago, which will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. With the new route United will operate four daily nonstop flights from India. The airline additionally operates daily year-round services from Mumbai and New Delhi to New York/Newark, and from New Delhi to San Francisco. It is expected that United will introduce a new daily nonstop service between Bengaluru and San Francisco commencing starting 8th May 2021. United will be the first U.S. carrier to provide nonstop service from Bengaluru to the U.S. and will offer more nonstop services from India than any other U.S airline.

Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of Civil Aviation, has said that international operations will begin in air bubbles now, which will be active with a few countries including France, US and the UAE. He further revealed that air bubbles will operate for a while and only then will regular international operations begin. “Negotiations are at an advanced stage with at least three countries. We formally signed for Air France operating 28 flights from Paris to New Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru between 18th July and 1st August. Apart from that we have an agreement with United Airlines to operate 18 flights between 17th and 31st July. We have requests from Germany also, and the negotiations with Lufthansa are almost done. Some details have to be worked out,” he said.

United Airlines is set to introduce a new daily direct seasonal service between Delhi and San Francisco International starting December 7, 2019 – subject to government approval. The airline’s new route will be its third daily non-stop service from India in addition to the existing daily, year-round services from Mumbai and New Delhi to New York. United Airlines is marking 10 years of its daily non-stop service between Mumbai Airport and its New York/Newark hub, Newark Liberty International Airport. Since it was launched in October 2007, the service has carried over 1.6 million customers on over 7,000 flights.
