Tamil Nadu witnesses tourism surge with 97% increase in foreign arrivals in 2023 vis-a-vis 2022

Tamil Nadu received 28.61 crore domestic tourists in 2023, a 33 per cent surge in comparison to 2022, and 11.75 lakh foreign tourists, a 97 per cent increase when compared to the previous year. After introduction of e-pass for Ooty and Kodaikanal, the witnessed daily arrivals of approx. 39,000-1 lakh.
