1300+ buyers & 3,200 meetings at Virtual Spanish Travel Show

The two-day Virtual Spanish Travel Show concluded successfully with more than 1,300 buyers from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh interact with 20 Spanish exhibitors. Spain’s first-ever virtual roadshow witnessed more than 3,200 one-to-one meetings take place between travel agents and tour operators, and suppliers that included regional tourism boards, hotels and DMCs.

Russian Expo Days start on Monday, 7th December

Russian Expo Days (RED) are all set to start on Monday, 7th December. The event already has 1,300 colleagues from the trade on board. RED would allow buyers to visit virtual stands of Russia’s regions and find out the difference between them, including architectural beauty of St. Petersburg, wild nature in Kamchatka, Golden Ring itineraries and more. They can ask questions and get honest answers from representatives of Russian authorities and travel business in the networking section. Utah Office of Tourism launches redesigned website

The Utah Office of Tourism launched a revamped website to inspire visitors to consider Utah for their travel, increase well-prepared visitation and improve the customer experience. The redesign includes new visuals that highlight Utah’s diverse, vast landscapes and encourage deeper exploration; new site headings point to more experiences; significantly improved data and technical capabilities engage users more effectively; and there is more detailed information about places to visit and itineraries. The Red Emerald Strategic Plan encourages well-prepared year-round visitation, focusing on the quality of visits not just quantity of visitors, getting customers responsibly off the beaten path and helping communities that want to attract more tourists develop their destinations.

Kenya Tourism Board appoints Intrepid Marketing as its India representative

The Kenya Tourism Board (KTB) has appointed Intrepid Marketing & Communications a Mumbai-based company, to establish Kenya as an aspirational long-haul destination in the Indian market through varied and sustained initiatives. The Intrepid team will be responsible for executing all trade, marketing and communication activities undertaken by KTB, starting from December 2020. Currently, Kenya is identified in the Indian market as a destination suitable for experiences and safari. The engagement will allow KTB to broaden the narrative of Kenya’s offering and introduce Indians to the country’s culture and heritage, adventure activities and its vibrant cityscapes. Neeti Bhatia, Director, Intrepid Marketing & Communications expressed, “We are working towards aligning our activities with ‘Kenya Vision 2030’ strategy and charting out an extensive calendar to penetrate the brand’s presence in target markets. Once travel restrictions are uplifted, we hope to achieve the set benchmark for Indian arrivals through aggressive trade, marketing and communication approach while putting tourist’s health on priority.” Kenya has laid out ‘Kenya Vision 2030’ which is a long-term development blueprint for the country and is motivated by a collective aspiration for a better society by year 2030. The tourism board shall liaise with the Indian trade fraternity to chart future itineraries to ensure seamless travel experiences in Kenya.
