Sarovar to open hotels in Auxum in Ethiopia and Somaliland

Sarovar Hotels & Resorts is set to come up with a project in Auxum in Ethiopia and one in Somaliland. Ajay K Bakaya, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, is extremely positive about the brand’s international presence, especially East Africa. He says, “Both the properties will start operating by mid-2020. Sarovar’s Jammu property to be operational by mid 2019

Sarovar Hotels and Resorts has signed Viraj Sarovar Portico, Jammu, the brand’s second hotel in Jammu & Kashmir after RK Sarovar Portico, Srinagar. Set to be operational in mid-2019, the property will offer 45 designed rooms with contemporary amenities and extensive banquet facilities for up to 5000 guests. The property is located in the epicentre of corporate, educational and industrial areas of Bari Brahmana. In close proximity to Jammu Airport and railway station, the hotel is designed with keeping modern travellers in mind. The facilities include car parking for more than 300 cars, gymnasium, spa, bar and an outdoor swimming pool. Sarovar to come up with 15 new hotels in 2019

Keeping its growth plans in mind for 2019 in the Indian as well as overseas market, Sarovar Hotels and Resorts will launch 15 new properties next year. Ajay Bakaya, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels and Resorts, says, “Sarovar will be launching close to 15 properties in 2019. Some of the locations chosen for the openings are – Gorakhpur, Katra, Dehradun, Dahisar, Jammu, Palolem Goa, Morbi, Dalhousie, Jalandhar etc. Also, 2018 overall was a good year. We predicted 5 per cent increase and did better than that. We opened sebven hotels in 2018 across the country and overseas. We hope 2019 to be on the same lines, but slightly better.” The international locations where the hotels will be launched include Dar Es Salaam and Auxum, Ethiopia.

Sarovar Hotels and Resorts expands its portfolio in the Delhi-NCR region, with the signing of a new project The Gaurs Sarovar Portico Greater Noida West. 123-room Sarovar hotel to open in Somaliland, Africa

Sarovar Hotels and Resorts has announced its plans to open a hotel in Hargeisa, the capital city of Somaliland, which is a growing economy in East Africa. Ajay K Bakaya, Managing Director, Sarovar Hotels Pvt. Ltd. says, “In order to maximize further growth opportunities in Africa, we are delighted to announce another milestone in Sarovar’s expansion plan. This hotel is located in one of the prime locations of Somaliland close to the getaway port of Berbera and has good connectivity from Hargeisa Egal international airport as well for travellers to the country. Having successfully operated hotels in other countries of Africa, we now look forward to provide our signature hospitality in this growing country as well”. The hotel is very near to Somaliland’s Port of Berbera. There are plans for the port to be upgraded, the country’s commercial hub. Owned by Upper Hill Hotel, Sarovar Premiere Hargeisa, upon completion in 2020 will have a total of 123 rooms and suites; conferencing & meeting, an all-day dining restaurant and a swimming pool.
