Turkish Airlines & IndiGo resume existing codeshare partnership

IndiGo and Turkish Airlines have resumed their codeshare flights and partnership by opening the sale earlier this month. Scheduled operations will be restarted in a phased manner with the first flight effective yesterday. The codeshare is considered as Bilateral Free Flow Codeshare wherein both the airlines will place its code on another’s flights. The agreement will enable both the carriers to provide more flexibility of choice to the customers on sectors between India and Istanbul, amongst others. In the 1st phase, both the airlines are open for sale, with Turkish Airlines as the marketing carrier, and IndiGo as the operating carrier. Turkish Airlines will be placing its code on trunk route flights operated by 6E on the Delhi-Istanbul route and later from six domestic destinations in India including Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai and Kolkata. Bhutan to allow tourists from Sept 23, for Indians previous entry fee remains

Bhutan is set to reopen its borders for tourists from September 23, focusing on the sustainability of the tourism industry. Indian tourists, for now, will pay the previously stipulated fee of Nu 1,200 per person per night. The rate will be revised at a later date. “COVID-19 has allowed us to reset – to rethink how the sector can be best structured and operated so that it not only benefits Bhutan economically but socially as well while keeping carbon footprints low. Domestic traffic to reach FY19-20 levels this year, international by FY23-24: CAPA

At the CAPA India webinar, India’s financial outlook FY22-23 revealed that domestic traffic may reach FY19-20 levels this year, but international will take until FY23-24. FHRAI urges Scindia to remove online Air Suvidha form mandate

FHRAI has submitted a representation to Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister of Civil Aviation, highlighting problems faced by inbound tourists with filling the online Air Suvidha form and has requested for its immediate withdrawal. With several passengers having missed their flights to India, the Association has appealed for the Ministry to at least provision physical forms as an alternate to the online forms.
