KTO to conduct webinar on Sept 4 with special focus on Gyeonggi region

The Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) will conduct a destination presentation on Friday, September 4 at 11am that will have a special focus on the Gyeonggi region. Along with KTO, the webinar will also have representatives from Gyeonggi Tourism Organization and a DMC joining in from Korea for product updates. Young Geul Choi, Deputy Director, Korea Tourism Organization, New Delhi office, says, “Each region of South Korea has its own unique feature and characteristic. To bring a better understanding of each special region, we decided to conduct a destination presentation with a special focus on the Gyeonggi region, located close to Seoul. A trip to Seoul without a trip to the nearby Gyeonggi region would surely be incomplete. Gyeonggi province is home to landmark attractions like the DMZ, Everland theme park and Hwaseong Fortress among others. 97% of Indian golfers rate Thailand amongst best golfing destination

Almost 97% of Indian golfers rated Thailand as one of the best golfing destinations, according to a survey conducted by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) New Delhi Office & Sports & Leisure Worldwide (SLW), on ‘Golfing in Thailand’ with Golfers in India during 10-27 July 2020. It also revealed that majority of golfers, almost 88% are planning to travel abroad to play golf post COVID-19 and 92% kept safety as their prime concern for the outbound travel.

Thailand tops list of world’s safest destinations during COVID-19

Thailand has topped the list of the world’s safest destinations to visit during the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, according to a study by Germany-based travel company Tourane. based on various criteria including the 14-day notification rate of new COVID-19 cases and deaths per the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC), International Health Regulations score, population density of the country, hours of sunshine per day for outdoor activities, and flight connections with Germany.

Korea to conduct webinar on luxury experiences on August 13

Korea Tourism Organization will be conducting a webinar on Thursday, August 13 at 3pm for the Indian travel trade. The session will focus on Korea as a perfect destination for luxury experiences. Jong Sool Kwon, Director – Korea Tourism Organization, New Delhi office, says, “South Korea has been one of the few nations which have successfully flattened the COVID-19 curve without any lockdown.
