ITA Airways, Official Carrier of the exhibition “Imaging Future: In The Mind Of An Italian Genius”,

ITA Airways launched the new, direct Washington – Rome roundtrip flight, which will be initially operated with five weekly flights, and will become daily from August 1 to cover the high season. The monographic exhibition “Imagining the Future: Leonardo da Vinci: In the Mind of an Italian Genius,” hosted by “Confindustria,” the Association of Italian Industry, for the inaugural event of its new headquarters in Washington, presents ITA Airways as Official Carrier. The project developed in joint partnership with Veneranda Biblioteca Ambrosiana was presented on June 20, 203, during an international press conference held at the Martin Luther King JR Memorial Library Auditorium, Washington D.C

As an expert in the handling of sensitive consignments, the exceptional operation of this piece of art was carried out by ITA Airways. In addition to the transportation under strict security measures, the critical stages of palletizing, custody and transfer were carried out in a temperature controlled environment to meet requirements to ensure the preservation of this unique artwork.

Emiliana Limosani, Chief Commercial Officer of ITA Airways and CEO of Volare expressed how it is an honor for ITA Airways to serve as worldwide ambassador Made in Italy.  On behalf of ITA Airways, she committed, “representing and showcasing the best of Italian Excellence by helping to export the style and image of Italy, internationally recognised as the cradle of culture and art. In light of this natural inclination and mission of ours, we are proud to have been chosen by Confindustria as the Official Carrier of the event held to mark the opening of their new office in Washington”.

Washington is a much-desired destination, for both leisure and business travellers, thanks to the presence of the local and international business community, which will use the new connection as direct access to Italy, Europe, and the entire Mediterranean region. The new route is already proving very successful, with a high load factor on both the inbound and outbound flights
