Akasa Air’s rapid growth continues, announces Hyderabad as the 13th destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, today announced its entry into Telangana with the addition of Hyderabad as the 13th destination to join the airline’s fast-growing network. The airline will offer daily flights on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Goa routes starting from January 25, 2023. In line with its phased but rapid approach to network expansion, in December 2022, the airline announced Goa as its 12th destination connecting Bengaluru and Mumbai. With this launch, Akasa Air will now offer six daily non-stop flights ex-Goa connecting three cities – Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. Commenting on the launch, Praveen Iyer, Co-Founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Akasa Air, said, “We are pleased to launch Hyderabad as the 13th destination on our network. The city is an important centre of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals and connecting it with Goa and Bengaluru will cater to the strong demand for both, business, and leisure travel. As India’s fastest growing airline we have now established a strong presence in South India, in our effort to boost the country’s economy by strengthening its important transportation linkages.” Akasa Air, which commenced operations in early August 2022, has been progressively scaling up its operations and has taken delivery of 13 aircraft, carrying over 5.5 lakh revenue passengers in less than six months from the start of its operations. By December 2022, the airline has crossed the milestone of operating over 500 weekly flights and has announced a total of 20 unique routes across 13 cities, namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Goa, and Hyderabad. Akasa Air introduces Goa as the 12th destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today announced the addition of Goa, the 12th destination to join the airline’s fast-growing network. Offering two daily flights from Goa to Bengaluru, increasing to three daily flights from February 1, 2023, and two daily flights from Goa to Mumbai, this enhanced connectivity between the commercial cities and one of the country’s most popular tourism hubs, will help boost economic growth and also help increase the tourist footprint. Akasa Air, which commenced operations in August 2022, has been progressively scaling up its operations and has taken delivery of 10 aircraft, carrying over 5 lakh revenue passengers in less than six months from the start of its operations. By end-December 2022, the airline expects to cross over 500 weekly flights and has announced a total of 18 unique routes across 12 cities, namely Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, and Goa. Akasa Air commences its maiden flight from Lucknow, the 11th destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today operated its first flight from Lucknow – the 11th city in its network, marking the airline’s entry into Uttar Pradesh. Akasa Air will offer daily flights on the Lucknow-Bengaluru and Lucknow-Mumbai route starting today. The first flight on the Lucknow-Mumbai route departed at 1100 hrs IST from Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. The airline’s entry into Uttar Pradesh was felicitated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Yogi Adityanath-ji, in the presence of Akasa Air’s Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Vinay Dube and his team. Akasa Air operates its maiden flight from Visakhapatnam, the tenth destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, today inaugurated its maiden flight from Visakhapatnam, its tenth city, marking the airline’s foray into the state of Andhra Pradesh. Akasa Air will offer double daily flights on the Visakhapatnam-Bengaluru route; the second frequency with the added benefit of an early morning option will start from December 12, 2022. This launch to Visakhapatnam, a city playing a key role in India’s aviation growth story, further reiterates Akasa Air’s commitment towards enhancing regional connectivity and strengthening important transportation links in our country. The airline’s operations from Visakhapatnam will cater to the increased demand for travel from the city while offering its signature warm and reliable service to passengers on the most affordable fares. Akasa Air commences operations in Uttar Pradesh, announces Lucknow as the eleventh destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, today announced its entry into Uttar Pradesh with the addition of Lucknow as the eleventh destination to join the airline’s fast-growing network. The airline will be offering daily flights on the Lucknow-Bengaluru route and Lucknow-Mumbai route, starting from December 25, 2022. In line with its vision of establishing a strong pan-India presence focusing on the metro to tier 2 & 3 route connectivity, the airline is also enhancing connectivity between Bengaluru and Kochi by adding a third daily frequency on the route starting December 29, 2022. With this development, the airline will operate 26 daily flight departures from Bengaluru. Akasa Air operates its maiden flight from Pune, the ninth destination on its network

Akasa Air, India’s newest airline, today inaugurated its first flight on the Pune-Bengaluru route. Pune is the ninth destination in Akasa Air’s network and its second city in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai. The airline is offering double daily flights on the Bengaluru–Pune route starting today with additional daily flights linking the two IT hubs, starting from December 10, 2022. Earlier in November, Akasa Air announced the addition of Visakhapatnam as the tenth destination on its network, with flights connecting the city with Bengaluru, scheduled to commence from December 10, 2022, and a second frequency on the route to be added on December 12, 2022. Since its launch in August this year, Akasa Air has been progressively scaling up its operations and by mid-December expects to cross over 450 weekly flights on a total of fourteen routes across ten cities – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, and Visakhapatnam. This rapid expansion of cities, routes, and frequencies is in line with the airline’s vision of adopting a phased yet rapid approach to grow its network across India.
