K B Kachru, Vice President, HAI of India stated, “With the onset of G20, room rates for five-star hotels in key business cities have increased by about 20 percent since the last quarter of 2022.” “The trend is expected to continue in the coming months,” he added.

According to Morgan Stanley research, corporate travel budget to escalate by 9 % in the second half of 2023. The research also projects a strong and secure 2024. The respondents were the travel managers having an aggregate global travel spend of approximately $5 billion.

Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, CM, HP,  said the government is considering framing a new tourism policy to increase the number of tourists by promoting lesser-known destinations. The government aims to footfall from three to five crore in the next five years.

Ministry of Tourism, in association with WTTC and UNWTO will co-organise Public Private Dialogue: Importance of Travel & Tourism to the G20 Economies in Goa on 21st June 2023. Participants can share their concerns and identify opportunities for mutual support.

Myongkil Yun, Director, Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) India office said, “M!CE traffic from India makes up for almost 70 per cent of the total numbers arrivals to Korea. To encourage this, we will develop new packages targeting at Bleisure travellers.”

In response to the rising cases of delinquent behavior by tourists, Bali government issued a new set of laws for international travelers. Bali governor I Wayan Koster published a circular outlining a number of requirements and prohibitions for travelers while on the island.
