LOT Polish Airlines to add three Embraer E195-E2s

LOT Polish Airlines to lease three new E195-E2s from Azorra. All deliveries to take place between end July and Q3 2024. LOT Polish Airlines was the launch customer for Embraer’s first E-jet in March 2004. LOT Polish Airlines will add the Embraer E195-E2 to their fleet to enhance operational flexibility and accommodate network expansion. LOT will lease three new E195-E2 from Azorra, reaffirming their commitment to sustainable growth with the addition of the 25% more efficient E2 to their fleet. The first jet will arrive by the end of July this year, with all aircraft deliveries completed in Q3 2024. LOT requires a flexible solution for its capacity needs as the airline’s network grows. The E2 allows a seamless transition over just a few days for LOT’s existing E1 flight crews, and offers a spacious and comfortable cabin experience for passengers, delivering an unmatched travel experience with no middle seats. The new E2s also add flexibility, complementing LOTs larger narrow body aircraft at similar seat costs. Idukki witnesses significant surge in visitor turnout after introduction of e-pass by Tamil Nadu

Following the implementation of e-pass regulations by Tamil Nadu for entry to Nilgiris and Kodaikanal, the tourist influx has seen a surge to Munnar, Wagamon, and other destinations in Idukki. April 2024 saw 133 lakh domestic air passengers in India, 21% higher than pre-COVID levels: ICRA

ICRA’s report on India’s aviation industry says, April 2024 saw 132.8 lakh domestic air passengers, which was 0.6 per cent lower than 133.7 lakh in March 2024. However, it grew by 3 per cent on a y-o-y basis and was higher by 21 per cent than pre-COVID levels. The airlines’ capacity deployment in April 2024 was higher than April 2023 by 2 per cent.
