G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism and Culture, has said that MOT provides various short term skill courses in the field of Hospitality and Tourism for unorganized/organised sector under Capacity Building for Service Providers (CBSP) Scheme.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, stated that the biggest employment generating sector could very well be the tourism sector after textiles industry. “This sector is one of the sectors to generate maximum employment with the least capital investment,” he said.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, in his recent address on govt initiatives in Civil Aviation sector, said that the Ministry of Tourism also funds more than 50 routes and has approved another 10 under the RCS-UDAN Scheme .

G. Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism, said, “Without connectivity, there cannot be any investment or development, which is why connectivity is the key to the country’s growth. India is the only nation that builds 30 km of national highway every day, thus creating continuous connectivity.”  

In a reply to a question in Rajya Sabha, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, shared that domestic tourist visits in India fell from 2.32 billion in 2019, to 677 million in 2021, owing to the impact of the pandemic.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, has shared that they have set up a 24×7 Multi-Lingual Tourist Info-Helpline on the toll free number 1800111363 or on a short code 1363 in 12 Languages including 10 international languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic), Hindi English for domestic and foreign tourists to provide support service in term of information relating to Travel in India and to offer appropriate guidance to tourists in distress while travelling in India.
