G Kishan Reddy, Union Tourism Minister, distributed skill training certificate to taxi/ cab/ coach drivers under Tourism Awareness Programme, where he said, “This training programme before the G-20 summit will act as a milestone in the development of Indian tourism.”

G Kishan Reddy, Union Tourism Minister, has said that Ministry of Tourism, Ministry of DoNER and Ministry of Road Transport & Highways is developing 100 view-points in North East region. “22 view-points have been taken up for development at a cost of ₹49 crores. In Mizoram 9 viewpoints have been taken up for development at the cost of 12.78 crores,” he added.

Sharing his observations and concerns over the star categorisation criteria for hotels in India, G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for tourism, culture & DoNER, said, “The current categorisation system doesn’t really differentiate between a 100+ room hotel and a 10-20 room hotel. It ruins the whole India experience for a traveller.” He also said that he’s in talk with the government to change criteria for hotel classifications.

Hotel Association of India (HAI) will be having its conclave on 29 September, 2022 at the Lalit New Delhi, which will be inaugurated by G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, revealed MP Bezbaruah, Secretary General, HAI.

G Kishan Reddy, Union Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, concluded the 3-day National Conference of State Tourism Ministers in Dharamshala by saying that 34. India is estimated to achieve 50 Bn USD GDP contribution from Tourism, 30 Bn USD in Foreign Exchange Earnings and 15 million foreign arrivals by 2024

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy said the government has taken a four-fold strategy for the development of tourism in the country that focuses on improving connectivity, enhancing tourism infrastructure, streamlining branding, and showcasing culture and heritage.   

G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER, has said that the National Conference of State Tourism Ministers aims to be a platform for sharing of best practices, successful projects, and tourism product opportunities. 

G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism, Culture & DoNER has said that the Ministry of Tourism will release the new National Tourism Policy in two months, i.e. before the budget session of the parliament. He was speaking at the golden jubilee celebration of Southern Travels.

G Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism & Culture, has said that Green Tourism Mission is making sustainability the premises of the tourism mandate. He also informed the recent initiatives including the setting up of resource centres to guild our villages to learn global practices & listing Green Tourism on the priority list of the G20 presidency to encourage responsible hospitality.

As per the 3rd TSA (Tourism Satellite Account) for 2019-20, the contribution of tourism to employment of the country is 79.86 million, revealed G. Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism, Culture and DoNER in a written reply in Rajya Sabha. Tourism and Hospitality sector is one of the largest employments generating sector in India, he added.
